I was going through the list recently looking for which track to choose this week when I noticed a song by Mr Jukes. I'd added it in the summer of 2017 and knew straight away I wanted to feature it on the site. It's Grant Green by Mr Jukes ft. Charles Bradley on vocals.
Mr Jukes is a solo project of Jack Steadman from Bombay Bicycle Club who featured on last weeks music pairing. This is from their first album and is a complete change of direction, although you could see some of the latter Bombay Bicycle Club songs going towards this style. This features the amazing Charles Bradley on vocals and is from their first album, God First.
The video is so much fun and fits the song perfectly.
To pair with this I've chosen a disco classic, written by Niles Rogers from 1979 - Thinking of You by Sister Sledge. I love this song.
